The core skills of architecture are planning, construction and design. Tasks include detailed planning, support structure planning and object planning, urban development, landscape design and spatial planning as well as the design of virtual spaces, always taking into account artistic, technical, ecological and social aspects. The study programme consists of several compulsory and elective modules. The compulsory modules are: orientation, representation methods 1 and 2, culture, basics of construction, structural engineering, planning 1, civil engineering, architecture, history and theory, architecture and society, experimental architecture, interior and design, building technology, ecology and building execution, planning 4, excursion and specialisation. The elective modules consist on one hand of the modules Planning 2 and 3 and on the other hand of other modules (building theory, construction and design, interior design and urban planning). In the modules Planning 2 and 3 students can choose one module each from a list of six modules and in the other elective modules they can chose between two options each. Additionally the elective modules Specialisation 1 to 3 can be studied, which can be found in a course catalogue. It is possible to study the module Interdisciplinary Studies instead of Specialisation 3. A study period abroad is recommended. Two bachelor theses must be written.Dauer / Arbeitsaufwand (ECTS)
