Microelectronics is the basic technology of our information society. All modern communication and information technology systems are based on this technology. The degree programme includes the following compulsory modules: Technology and materials, Photonics and quantum electronics, Integrated circuits, Components and systems. Two of the following specialisation modules are compulsory: Technologies and materials – Specialisation, Applied photonics, quantum electronics – Specialisation, Integrated circuits – Specialisation, Components and systems – Specialisation. Three elective modules must also be studied. To complete the degree programme a thesis must be written and a final examination must be taken before an examination committee.
