Description

The degree programme in Molecular Biology deals with the structure, biosynthesis and functions of DNA and RNA. It forms an interface between the disciplines of biology, chemistry and in particular genetics and biochemistry. The master's programme is offered jointly by the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Salzburg and the Faculty of Technology and Natural Sciences of the University of Linz. Which of the two study locations offers which courses is indicated in the curriculum. The courses offered by the University of Linz in the master's programme are mainly held in the second semester of the master's programme in Linz. The degree programme concludes with a master's examination and a written master's thesis, which qualify students for independent scientific work in research and administration.
