Description

The degree programme in Chemistry and Chemical Technology imparts scientific knowledge about manufacturing processes and properties of (new) substances and materials and make chemical findings usable for many areas of human life. The goal is the (large-scale) technical production of fuels, plastics and synthetic fibres, mineral fertilizers, household chemicals, etc. The basic knowledge to be acquired (compulsory subjects) includes both mathematics and physics and inorganic / analytical / physical / organic chemistry as well as polymer chemistry and the associated chemical technologies and processes. In addition to the practical exercises, students also have to do university internships within the framework of their studies.
