Description

The degree programme in Chemistry and Chemical Technology imparts scientific knowledge about manufacturing processes and properties of (new) substances and materials and makes chemical findings usable for many areas of human life. The goal is the (large-scale) technical production of fuels, plastics and synthetic fibres, mineral fertilizers, household chemicals, etc. Students have to complete the following compulsory modules: “Chemical Technologies of Inorganic Substances", "Chemical Technologies of Organic Substances", "Process Engineering" and the module "Soft Skills for Master in Chemical Technology". The master’s thesis usually consists of experimental research work, the results of which are to be documented in the form of a written paper.
