Description

Ethics deal with the motivation of values and norms by means of arguments, the role and function of ethical concepts and the rules and structures of decision processes. Based on this, applied ethics deal with the reflexion, pervasion and preparation of specific, socially relevant areas of human reality under the premise of acting and the claim for logical reasoning. The degree programme is mostly an extra-occupational one. The curriculum consists of a basic module (philosophical, cultural studies and working methods basics of applied ethics) and two out of three concentration modules to choose from (education, health, economics and society). Moreover elective subjects, which can be chosen freely, can be studied. The degree programme concludes with a master thesis and a master exam (a defensio).
