Description

Biological chemistry includes the areas of chemistry, biochemistry and biology. In this subject chemical and molecular biology-related ways of thinking and methods are taught and studied. Compulsory subjects are general and inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology, informatics, communication and ethics, mathematics and physics, molecular biology, organic chemistry and physical chemistry. Students also have to study a certain number of elective subjects. The degree programme is a joint programme of the University of Linz and the University of Budweis. The first, second and fifth semester will be studied at the University of Linz, the third and fourth semester at the University of Budweis. In the sixth semester there will be lectures at both universities. A study period abroad is compulsory. The degree programme concludes with two bachelor's theses.
