Description

The Industrial Mathematics course deals with the development and application of mathematical methods for solving industrial and technical problems. The master's programme in Industrial Mathematics consists of compulsory and elective subjects. From the subject area of "Mathematical Modelling" students have to complete the compulsory subjects "Integral Equations and Boundary Value Problems", "Financial Mathematics", "Stochastic Processes", "Mathematical Methods of Continuum Mechanics" and "Inverse Problems". The subject area of "Numerical Simulation" includes the compulsory subjects "Numerics of Elliptical Problems" and "Numerical Methods of Continuum Mechanics 1". Moreover, students have to choose electives from the electives offered in the bachelor's programme in Technical Mathematics and study unrestricted electives. At the end of the programme students have to write a master's thesis and pass a master's examination.
