The aim of the bachelor’s programme is to train and further train economists and impart sound economic knowledge and intercultural skills for Central and Eastern Europe. If you are interested in economics and foreign languages and aspire to an occupation in an international environment this course is for you. The degree programme in International Business Relations is available both as a full-time and as an extra-occupational course. The first academic year includes the modules of economics and law (business administration, accounting), language and communication (Business English, language from Central Eastern Europe), compulsory elective subjects (coaching, foreign language), excursion (European institutions or wine-growing countries) and practice reflexion. In the second academic year students must study the modules economics (economics, statistics), language and communication (technical terminology English, intercultural communication) as well as one of the specialisation modules Controlling – Accounting, Logistics - Export, Marketing – Sales, Wine Management or Tourism Management. The third academic year consists of the modules of language and communication, international economics and law as well as compulsory elective subjects (coaching, foreign language). Full-time students will do a 15-week work placement abroad; extra-occupational students will so a seven-week work placement and study the subjects business law, economics and knowledge management. Students also have to write two bachelor's theses.
