Description

Biotechnology is the integration of biosciences, chemistry and process engineering with the aim of technological use of organisms, cells and macromolecules for the processing, upgrading and treatment of biogenic raw materials for the production of materials for the benefit of society and the environment. Within the framework of the programme students must do a compulsory work placement in subject-related industrial enterprises or in non-university research, testing and examination institutions of altogether two months. The topic of the master’s thesis orients itself on a subject of the master’s programme and it will be supervised by the professors teaching the subject. The master’s examination consists of a pass grade on all required subjects and an oral examination before a committee (about the topic of the master’s thesis).
