Description

The degree programme in Safety in the Food Chain is an interdisciplinary field specialising in issues of food safety management on the national and international level. The degree programme consists of three parts. The module A is basically a compulsory one and it imparts basics of food science. Module B offers a choice of more specialist courses on specific topics of food safety; alternative Module B options are available in Austria and abroad. During their studies students must study at least one semester (one Module B) at one of the partner universities. The last part of the programme is the writing of the master’s thesis and the subsequent master’s examination, which takes place before a panel.
