Description
The degree programme in Mechatronics is based on the classical fields of mechanics, electronics and computer sciences and links them in an interdisciplinary way. Of special relevance is the product development of mechatronic systems. The bachelor's programme lasts six semesters and includes the following subjects: Mathematics 1, Mechanics 1, Fundamentals of electrical engineering, Materials, Fundamentals of programming (1st semester); Mathematics 2, Physics in mechatronics, Electronic elements, Algorithms and data structures, Innovative production technologies (2nd semester); Analogue technology, Signal theory, Machine elements / CAD1, Fundamentals of business management (3rd semester); Digital and microprocessor engineering, Measurement technology and sensors, Thermodynamics (4th semester); Focus Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design / CAD, Robotics and Assembly Technologies, Production Management (5th semester); Physical applications, Drives, Design methodology for mechatronic systems, Robotics laboratory (6th semester). In the fifth semester the students can do an optional study abroad semester. The students have to do a four-month internship in Austria or abroad.
